Why join IWA?
Our Culture
Joining the IWA TEAM means that you will work alongside some of the most highly skilled and committed healthcare, behavioral health, social marketing, public safety, and health technology experts in the country. Our people are client-centric, results-oriented, and extremely innovative in their delivery of technical assistance and support across a variety of disciplines and client environments.
We maintain a corporate culture that stresses collaboration, friendliness, personal growth, professionalism and accountability and recognizes that we all have something valuable to offer regardless of our personal and professional backgrounds. It is the basis for a working climate that provides everyone - from recent college graduates to seasoned professionals and individuals starting a new career – with interesting and often fast-paced situations in support of our clients.
Diversity
IWA is committed to organizational diversity and inclusion. That commitment further extends to our relationships with clients, business partners and the communities in which we live and work. Any and all individuals, regardless of their race, gender, age, sex, sexual orientation, religion, culture, ethnicity, veteran status, national origin or physical ability are considered with the utmost dignity and respect. We celebrate individual differences and believe this promotes respect, encourages new ideas and innovation and enhances our competitive edge in the marketplace.
Work/Life Balance
We recognize the importance and positive effects of a reasonable work/life balance for our associates and do not subscribe to a “long hours” culture. While meeting client expectations is tantamount to our success, we do this in an environment that allows flexibility based on project needs and job requirements. We offer flexible work hours and some limited telecommuting opportunities, where project commitments allow, as well as leaves of absence for various personal needs.
Community Involvement
We feel that philanthropy is part of good corporate citizenship. Starting with IWA’s President and CEO, Dr. Ivan Walks, we are dedicated to using our “My Family Knows” public health outreach and community advocacy efforts to make a difference in the lives of those populations who are historically identified as “at risk” or vulnerable. As such, we will always share as much of our talent and time as is possible with organizations that seek to address many social ills.
